Sr. Benedicta, OSH
Sister Benedicta has been writing haiku for at least ten years and is the recipient of several prizes. Here are some examples.
Many leafless trees--
It is time to make friends now
With the evergreens.
Clouds in a puddle
Beside the mourning dove
That paces the ground.
During the Gospel
A spider on a silk thread
Gleams in the sunlight.
A June evening--
The traffic control cones
Brightly blooming.
A gull balances
Upheld by the snow-filled fog
Turns and vanishes.
